Karen Green

Land Director

With over 20 years’ experience in the land and planning industry, Karen is responsible for identifying and acquiring land opportunities across London and the South East. Prior to joining Savista, Karen held senior roles at Aykon International (Damac Properties) and A2Dominion.

Karen’s ambitions for Savista include growing a pipeline of land opportunities and a bank of sites where we will be looking to operate the highest quality later-living communities.

Outside of work, Karen’s main passions are cooking and travelling and she’s very much looking forward to her next adventures post-pandemic!

Nick Parker

Head of Commercial

Nick joined the company in 2018 and leads the commercial function at Savista. He has over 18 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering projects across the industry, managing teams and budgets from £500k to £100m+. Nick began his career client side as a QS working for a leading cost consultancy before moving into tier 1 contracting and more recently high-end residential development with City & Country and Berkeley Group. His breadth of experience has enabled him to play a key role in the continued development of the business and the delivery of outstanding developments for later living lifestyles.

Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends and has a passion for water pursuits – kiteboarding, sailing and kayaking in particular.

Laura Baigent

Head of Interior Design

Laura has worked in interior design since graduating from Bristol University with a BA (Hons) degree. She has a wealth of knowledge from her commercial, retail design background and retirement living experience with Audley Group, which led her to Savista where she now manages the Interior Design team. Focusing on providing high-quality, luxurious homes that deliver on elegance, comfort and practicality is her mantra. Laura says the reward and motivation is seeing residents and the teams enjoying and thriving in our homes.

Laura’s love is the sea and she spends weekends walking and swimming (weather permitting) along the beautiful Kent coast although she would rather be on the beaches of Greece sipping the odd glass of wine listening to the waves.

Chris Roberts

Head of Construction

Chris is Head of Construction at Savista and joined in 2017 with over 44 years’ experience in the industry. Chris’s role involves managing the construction team, providing guidance to the site‐based teams as well as monitoring the department’s performance, and reporting to the board of Directors.

Chris is passionate about leading a team that delivers an ever-expanding and improving the pipeline of care homes and retirement villages.

Outside of work, Chris’s two main enjoyments are his family and Cardiff City FC!

Veera Marshall

People & Performance Business Manager

With over 13 years of UK/EMEA HR experience, Veera has had the opportunity to work across various industries including healthcare services, IT, motorsport, aviation, hospitality, and now construction after joining Savista in November 2020.

At work, her key passions are working with people, being creative with solutions for the company, and making sure our team members are taken care of. At home- it’s trying out new recipes (and wine!), travelling to fabulous destinations with her husband (pre-covid of course!) and two-year son who is the centre of her universe.

Veera’s future plans for Savista are to drive the People and Performance Strategy forward where the focus is the ‘recruitment, development and retention’ model, and ensuring our people are 100% engaged at work. This approach creates a talent lead business that people are proud to be part of.

John Davies

Financial Controller

John joined us as Financial Controller in 2020. A chartered accountant with over 30 years’ commercial experience, John has been a regional financial leader for UK construction groups Kier PLC and Galliford Try PLC and brings a wealth of relevant expertise to facilitate the development of Savista.

John is a local Essex boy and a lifelong member of Essex County Cricket Club.
